  If a person has a twenty foot by twenty foot back yard, or even a balcony, they can grow enough lettuce, or greens appropriate for their climate to partially feed themselves year round in most cases.   Tiny pvc frames lined with plastic can act as portable , movable green houses.  Greatly reducing the need for imported sustenance while improving your families health mentally and physically.

  Tiny emergency solar systems that fit in the back seat of your car can be deployed anywhere you need lights, fans, or cooking stations.  For about one hundred dollars you can have a 100 watt solar panel, solar charge controller,  and small deep cycle battery that are completely portable.  Another thirty dollars get you a 200 watt modified sine wave inverter that can run tiny elements, motors and lights, while also gaining USB charging for you laptops, phones and tablets.

 Tiny back yards can have a mini solar array, with automatic solar tracking for about 400 dollars.  Producing four  hundred watts on a small 30 amp pwm (pulse width modulation) solar charge controller.  A person only needs a single deep cycle battery, AGM type, with 100 amp hours capacity to run a hotplate, multiple fans, lights, TV's, computers for a couple hours a day.  These 100 amp hour  AGM deep cycles are under 200 dollars and safe to use indoors.  Completely sealed, no off gassing, no spill, no maintenance and completely portable.  A pure sine wave inverter that puts out 1,500 watts off this single battery is only 170 dollars and also completely portable.  This clean pure sine wave can run anything within its power rating including your most sensitive electronics like your home computer or TV.

  So, for about 750 dollars you can begin living right.  Loving your planet, and harnessing enough energy to cook, clean, and entertain with every day for a few hours.  And what happens next, not just to me, but to many I have helped get started is, you realize how easy it is to get off the destructive and expensive grid energy that is destroying our planets weather stability.  You realize, you don't worry about power outages because you have enough power to maintain a level of comfort that most the global population envies. And most of all, you begin getting healthier, emotionally, and physically.  With that come a renewed sense of capability.  You realize, you can do it!  You can be an example to all your neighbors, you can grow your energy storage capacity one battery at a time, increasing your off grid , clean energy supply daily, hour by hour.  You notice your habits change, and find yourself grazing on seasonal growth in your tiny garden and it feels like medicine.  Medicine that is bringing your body , mind and spirit into harmony.  Suddenly, you are part of the planet and all the life upon it.  Suddenly, your truly alive, not just a parasite going through a daily routine.  Suddenly , your making a difference.
